I spotted this bin of old vintage mechanical switch machines, and got them cheap. They are literally mint condition, a very crude machine compared to today's Tortoise turnout switch machines. But probably state of the art for their time. I'd never seen any before up close that I recall.

I remember those Kemtron solenoid machines from Model Railroader ads in the early 70's. I think they were pricey for the time.

Those are pretty nifty old pieces. They look very much like older pinball flipper coil set ups.

Bought a couple of the Kemtrons at at train show, $1 a piece, NIB. One day, if I have a layout, I"ll gladly use them.
