I've been hearing about this derailment and how a ruptured tank car of vinyl chloride had caused evacuations, but I didn't know the name of the creek the cars fell into until seeing these photos.

That's not too far from me. The schools there are closed and residents are supposed to stay inside. The bridge that collapsed is a rotating bridge that pivots 90 degrees to let boats pass.

I figured it must be rotating based on the arch with the power line pivot. I wonder if it might have been weakened by Sandy.
