I know it was introduced in 1967 in the Red Box era. Did it have a plastic boiler?

Please someone correct me if i'm wrong but didn't all 60s shifters have metal boilers? I believe the plastic ones didn't start till the 70s. If you have a photo of the ShifterII it'd be easy to see. Ones with the headlight near the middle of the smokebox door more towards the top were plastic versions. The ones with the headlight mounted ontop of the smokebox door were metal.

That is the confusing part. The Shifter II first appears in the 1967 catalog, along witht the new Booster. The big difference being the added working light. The boilers have more detail than the old Shifter and Booster but no mention of plastic.

I don't think the metal ones ever had lights, the shifter that is. Mantua boosters were ALWAYS metal. I have a booster and 3 shifters.
