Today I went to the Union Pacific event in Houston, Texas to celebrate their 150th birthday. I knew that UP 844 was going to be there, but I did not realize there were other engines too! They had a platform set up so you could look in the cab of 844, and there was a whole train of UP streamline cars too. One of the highlights was the union pacific heritage locomotives for Southern Pacific, MKT, and Missouri Pacific. The Missouri Pacific unit was open so that you could get onto the locomotive, go in the cab, and walk around the side platforms. It was a great experience, I'm glad I didn't miss it, and I encourage you to go as the display travels.
