| I have 1946 Lionel "O" set in fantastic shape, it came with a old "S" guage American Flyer set in equally great shape. I was driving from Virginia to Georgia for a camping trip. So before we got there we stopped at a garage sale in Georga just to pass some time, the guy who had the trains clearly had no clue of their value. When I asked the price he said "50 bucks". I looked around because I thought I was getting punked. I ended having to leave some of my camping gear behind to make room for the boxes of trains because they all came with track and accessories. OH, there was also a Marklin set also. I seen the lionel locomotive without the cars sell on ebay between 5 to 7 hundred and the American Flyer locomotive only for 3 to 5 hundred. I will try to post pictures later.

I have my father's old 322 Hudson and plenty of track, and added to that with another 322 and a K5. I have later plastic versions of the reading Atlantic, as well as a few of the 4-4-0's, one is the 21168 with smoke.
Here's some shots of the K5 and a Hudson posing under the Christmas tree about 5 years ago.

| Cool trains! I've got no flyer S gauge, but I do have an HO scale version of the tie car. I have recently done some custom building work for a friend with a large S gauge flyer layout. So far I have built an outhouse and a diner. I have pictures, I will post them soon.

I just bought some S gauge track at a LHS this week, since I got one AF steam engine/tender, I figured I should have the track to run it. I have a few AF cars packed away somewhere as well, that came in an Ebay lot or something. Just starting to get my 3-rail stuff out and operating as I'm cleaning out the basement, and have a 4x4 spot to run a circle of track. So far, I've run my Lionel, my Marx (electric and wind-up), and a wind-up Hafner. I'll post pics of my S engine later.

The one on the left I received in a 1959 train set when I was a child. The NYC is a Flyonel I bought a couple of years ago.

Buss, Those little wheels are the power pickup rollers. The drive wheels are plastic.

The engine is the last resort item built by AC Gilbert before Lionel bought them out in '66. Couplers and rear truck would have to be swapped out to run with the standard AF knuckle coupler cars!

Actually, these split knuckles would mate with their standard knuckles, they were just cheaper. I have one of these 21165's with metal tender trucks and a standard knuckle.
The 21168 was the same loco, but with connecting rods, a headlight & chug / smoke unit.
