Nice set there, Ben! I'm gonna admire it myself. My contribution to HO education and entertainment this week is some Euro cabooses. Got in an Ebay lot last week. One is missing the chassis, but the Transfer caboose ( what do they call them over there? ) is in pretty nice shape.

Yes if I'm not mistaken that 43467, is a TYCO number for the type of care it is.......They never numbered them consecutively....

"Shouldn't Paint So Fast" was a joke at the time. Santa Fe and Southern Pacific had begun repainting before the ICC ruled on the proposed merger and had already merged at the corporate level. The ICC rejected the merger and ordered Santa Fe Southern Pacific Corp. to divest itself of one of its railroads, hence the joke.

yep & thats why SP went to Rio Grande & later ATSF went to BN to form BNSF
I do want that SPSF cboose & 2 of the Kodachrome locos

Let me ask this Was there ever cabooses with SP & SF on them seperately & in Kodachrome?
