I knew I had seen some photos of the real thing regarding that MDC Roundhouse tank car i built. These are similar ones that show a support structure not unlike the beam on the roundhouse kit. Probably more info than you want, but...

I saw an ancient looking tank car in Sunnyside yard today while taking a train home from school. It looked almost like that; that tank on a steel-beam look... anybody know anyone who would have information on such a car.

I have never noticed it before, it's grey and near what appears to be a trackwork on the south side of the mainline 1/2 way through the yard. No idea how long it will be there, I am not taking the train on my way back to school, so doubt I'll ever see it again. Track appeared to be live.

The tank cars of today are frameless Thanks to a guy who worked in oil fields in NM & Colorado he used the 3ft gauge of Rio Grande
Perhaps you seen the 3ft gauge tank car in models & in pics It had GRAMPS on the side
