I am rebuilding a Mantua Mighty Mite from parts I found digging in a parts bin. I am using a Mantua Goat for the chassis and motor.
I am running into some difficulty getting the Mighty Mite shell to mate up with the rear of the chassis. I think the Mite shell has been modified but I can not tell how. I do not have a schematic or photos of a completed engine. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it. Also trying to find out how the lead wire would plug into the slope tender. The Mantua tender I found with the locomotive has no jack for the lead wire. Yes it is the appropriate diecast tender that was used for the Goat and Mighty Mite.

Thank You

I looked, they have every instruction sheet but one for the Mighty Mite. I found really good pictures of the engine online, but not the rear of the shell and how it connects to the frame.

Hi Shark,

I think the photos you saw on-line were mine I posted on flickr. If you look closely at this pic of the underside of the Mite, you will see the boiler shell mounts to the fibre board on the chassis frame just like the Goat.

This is the side view of a Goat:

Here are some pictures I took of my shell. It will probably explain my situation more. As you can see the shell has been modified and I don't know what it originally should have looked like.
