Hello,
I thought I saw an article (in this forum) on this particular car made by Bachmann...
There is no "BLT" or "NEW" dates.
The roof and end detail are molded/moulded to look like very early 1900's or mid through late 1800's.
I was just thinking... someone had to do a lot of research for this particular car in order to get the printed "Reporting Marks" and "Instructions"...
You see, there are unique notations, but it's void of "usually printed identifications'.
So, my inquiry is for authenticity and efforts in production of this model...
Thank you for your time and attention, speculation and facts.
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

John, I have a book on the Petaluma and Santa Rosa Railway which has a picture of a similar car on page 73. It states that it was built in 1928. Here is a cell phone snap...
The book is by John Schmale and Kristina Schmale, ISBN 0738559598

Not sure about Marx, but I believe Ambroid made a kit. I did a quick search and found this:

EDIT: Ha, just realised that is probably Sean's photo.

John,
I believe that is a Bachmann:

Thomas,
Those are my pictures of some of my wooden kit poultry car collection on the flickr site.
