I was studying my collection of Tyco ATSF flat car collection and noticed some variations of the early Tyco verses later Tyco - while i can't 100% pinpoint exact years - years are approximate - In the top of picture - This car has Mantua stamped in the center with Tyco made in Hong Kong to front left truck - tampo graphics are sharp and clear - This car is also a green coloring on the simulated wood deck planks - - The second car - also green wood colored deck - does not have Mantua in center stamped but maintains the Made By Tyco Hong Kong -tampo has slightly larger stamping on data reporting marks - The 3rd car is the common tan colored deck - has Mantua Stamped in center - The green color changes tint on under body of this production - font looks to be same stamping as 2nd car - unchanged - The 4th car pictured changed color tint on everything - the deck is a lighter tan color than 3rd car pictured - The green under body is a different shade than previous 3 and the Tampo on the graphics is more refined -very clear and reporting marks on load data is larger but missing the build date and LD WT reporting marks - AS for the years on the flats - I am going to say the first 2 were produced in the 60's and then the 3rd flat approximate very early 70's and the last car late 70's or early 80's until end production of 93. AS far as the Mantua stamped on some and not others - could have been due to factories having old new stock with newly molded stock mixed in their production runs. All cars however retained the 90806 car number throughout production. Feel free to add info to post and i will correct

Interesting because I have seen the trailer cradles for that flatcar in yellow (not faded) orange and red.

Are those two decks black unpainted plastic? I can't think of seeing any Tyco flat with a black plastic deck.
