Well, I gave my last 2 final exams this morning to students and by noon the school was as quiet as a ghost town. I can now contemplate several weeks of uninterrupted train time, where "what to work on" is the only hard decision to make. As I haven't had a raise or even a COLA in over 3 years, the tranquility and opportunity to restore my blood pressure to normal levels is at least some form of alternative compensation. Hence, trains!

On the other hand, I will be writing two new curriculums this summer (for zero compensation) to use with my industrial arts students in August, so the summer life of a teacher is not an idle one!

The weather has been rainy-constantly-for several days and if that doesn't enhance the mood to do some modeling, I don't know what else does (except snowy days back in the midwest when I was a kid)!

I will get back to bugging you guys with all manner of questions, and post on my (now several concurrent) projects more often.

To paraphrase an old ditty we sang as kids in the 60s: no more grading, no more books, no more student's dirt looks! (LOL).

Siouxlake Ron

I do want to express my appreciation to those who bother to reply to my sometimes burdensome questions, as I am always learning- and learning by doing. Those questions have a purpose, not just idle conversation starters.
