i live in canada and were i live it is clean up week that means people can through out pretty well what they want. once every couple years it comes along. well i was out looking for old wooden dressers i like to strip and refinish. well i seen an old dresser so i stoped to pick it up and there was a cardboard box on top i opened the box and there was a cox train set in the box not the origanal box but it still was full of cox train stuff, 2 complete engines 1 robin hood multi foods and 1 chattanooga the cars are custo frozen pizza,stouffers, baby ruth,old dutch cleanser,bicks,jello,wesson,coorsh delicateesen products,robin hood grain car,robin hood flour tanker, robin-o oatmeal,brant caboose and a chattanooga caboose all in good shape plus the transformer and a lot of track. i have not counted it yet. i am going to put it together tomorrow and try it out the transformer does hum when i pluged it in i will let you know how i make out when i get back from work next week

| Nice catch...Cox is mostly Athearn equipment so parts and maintenance will be an easy deal.

Your mention of cars with Robin Hood Flour calls to mind that a grain elevator in suburban Mpls had that logo name on it in the 1960s. I am not sure if that was a franchised brand name or the commissary operation was actually based in Minneapolis at the time. The fact that you have more than one car with the logo name- was the set a promotional one, perhaps, such as companies used to offer employees as gifts, etc?

Second thought- International Multifoods is based in Minneapolis, so there may be some corporate connection there.

That drawing on the tank car of Robin Hood was exactly as I recall seeing on that grain elevator, as well!
