back in january i bought an mdc 0-6-0T from a friend at a train show. Its been "infested" with problems. it took me 2 weeks just to get it to run quiet, smooth and decent. Then i didnt use it much, i decided a month ago that i'd be changing its "ugly" appearance. I stripped it down to the frame and blasted the frame, gear plate, main rods, drive rods, and smokeboxs door with some black paint. Also the drive wheel faces. from a silver ugly duck
here she is back in march running a train and after 1 month of work he she is now.
here's a decent photo of her, the letting was already worn off
heres a front shot of the newly painted smokebox door and rods and wheels, im very happy how it came out
