Here is a 2-10-0 decapod I got back from being rebuilt. In PRR lettering it is a quite runner.

Yes John a great puller it is!

But sometimes old engines like this have some problems with derailing!
Here is what I found out to solve this:



On my Decapod I had to file the center driver to stop derailments! - Erich

That's an interesting solution. I've only had that problem with a Tyco Pacific, and it was only because of the amount of axle slop Consolidated Foods put into them when they eliminated the brass axle bearings. (Food conglomerates and model trains don't mix. )

My solution was to put a flanged set of drivers on the geared axle, which eliminated the rail-picking, if not the slop.
