I've been digging through ebay the past few weeks scooping up a hoard of new (to me anyway ) Tyco streamliners. Here's a pair of chrome Santa Fe cars that just arrived

The bodies are rough and the lighting has been gutted, but for $14 shipped I'm not complaining. The parts are worth that to me

My COTW is a red Conrail boxcar by Playart, under the name Charmerz. Don't often see red Conrail pieces, thought this one unusual. I'm trying to collect entire consists of a certain make, I've probably got more than 10 pieces of Playart so far. Got this one last fall in 2011.

I just won this Tyco Ajax on Ebay a couple hours ago. Bought it as a gift for my nephew and had it sent directly to him. He mentions his interest for the Tyco Ajax hopper, often....

Nice catch, Ken...the metal wheelsets makes it their earlier Pocher offering as they changed the wheelsets to all plastic like the one I own...

Mine is not as cherry as yours, I had to replace the smokejacks and the railings are dinged...

Cool...
Mine came from a poorly described box lot, I put in a low bid hoping no one would notice and won. A little rougher than it first appeared, it'll do until I find a better example.

I didn't think the Lincoln car had dual trucks tho!????
Why? Smoother ride for the funeral????
I've seen pictures of the Lincoln train and didn't notice the cars having dual trucks like that.....Really interesting, who made that HO car?

I have learned something new today! As I didn't realize the Lincoln funeral train had dual trucks!
Definately different to see on a passenger car!

| EM-1-- The car was supposed to be Lincoln's personal private car to ride in but instead was used as his funeral car

| I looked on the web quick, but don't see anything about it, but I seem to recall that the car had four trucks because it was extra heavy, having had some armor added to protect the body.
