Frank, that set isn't shown on Tony Cook's site. The only steam set he lists came with freight cars.

Does the box have the name of the set?

Nice find, Ken. Too bad they didn't scan the catalog so it would be legible instead of just photographing it. It looks like it was known as the "Old Time Passenger Set."

Here is my now up graded ATT 0-4-0 road engine. The ATT yardbird did not have a cow catcher but a steped front pilot. The version of it used in this set did. So it isn't a Yard Bird special. * Here is mine. I am thinking that it my be a Ken Kidder version of the 0-4-0 switcher. If there is such a locomotive. toptrain

Those things. The coaches, oddly enough, look nearly identical to ones made by a manufacturer by the name of Tri-ang. http://www.tri-angrailways.org.uk/oldcoach.htm

triang made most of the att items except the brass locos, they were made in japan, and a few mehano items like the c415 loco as tony states American Train & Track Corp. was an importer of HO-scale ready-to-run electric trains back in the late '60s and early '70s. Owned by Hugh Stephens, ATT featured models from England, Japan, and Yugoslavia made of both brass and plastic. AT&T's trains were offered in sets, as well as separate releases. The company also featured a line of accessories that included numerous bridges, a tunnel portal, transmission towers, and train stations. Mr. Stephens turned his attention to importing European prototype model trains with the coming of the Amro name in 1970. The short-lived American Train & Track disappeared with the introduction of Amro imported trains
according to this one it was a mr tager http://tri-ang.weebly.com/att.html /tyco/forum/uploaded/catfordken/20150916101325_1791362.jpg

Those triang old time coaches remind me a bit of the old New York EL cars.

Well now that the yellow train set is traded away, all I have in the way of another train set is 5 ATT coaches made by Tri-ang, pulled by a American Flyer, Gilbert, Hudson. It is running now on my layout. frank
