Can anyone tell me if this car run at SF? Have not found a prototype pic of it! The pics I found of SF Budd Domes dont match the Walthers car! Thanks - Erich

| I do not know about that specific model but I do know this. Generally the manufacturers will find the most common passenger car and paint / label it to match all of the roads. Cost would be to high otherwise. Is that a shorty or the proper scale length? Often they are shortened to fit 18r curves. It looks as if those are two axle trucks, I believe that a car that size should have used three axle trucks, could be wrong there though.

This is the prototype of the Walthers Budd dome!

Walthers also makes this model - completely wrong because there where no dome cars on the Pennsy!

Walthers makes a model of this car , so I its seems that they made a car with out a prototype also. Maybe they made to much for the CP Dome and want to get rid of the sureplus anyway!
The walthers models are no shorties and the two axle trucks are right for lightweight coaches.

Finaly the correct model of the CP Budd Dome! - Erich
