An odd duck this week and not complete. This will likely be my first custom Milled Chassis. Thinking of using Atlas-Kato drive componets. In any case it will be a damn site smoother than the old Roundhouse Box Cab. I'll have to "Americanize" it but looking at it, that shouldn't be too hard.

-Gareth PS: Heading for bed soon and starting work pretty early; likely 3am so won't get to post tomorrow morning. Sorry for jumping the gun!

I just picked this up this week. A little Marx Hustler New Haven switcher for my father. He had one as a kid in the 60's and I had it then in the 80's and the motor burnt up in it. Long since gone I found one again. I see it needs a coupler but other wise in great condition. I don't know exactly what year this was made.

May as well be an early bird, too. I'm gonna go Turbo on you guys, and put up a different engine type this week. Today it's a Tyco, but a Turbo train, based on the slot car chassis, but runs on HO scale rails. Picked this up a couple months ago at an antique show, saw it last year but forgot to get it, got it this time. I also bought recently the white passenger cars to go with it off Ebay as surplus. So I have a complete set now of the white train.

I've got a yellow one I'm trying to install DCC in it, tight fit. I think I have a plan, but will have to try it to see if it works.

New PRR GP30, Bachmann DCC OnBoard. Bought it on Tuesday. This is why I buy used Athearns and not new stuff - for $70 bucks, I ended up with a noisy motor, yellow (and I mean VERY yellow) headlights, and ez-mates that I can't replace with kadees. Probably gonna weather it a little bit, might swap out yellow headlight for a white LED, dunno yet. Looks really cool though. Unfortunately, no pic, as I'm too lazy to go downstairs and fetch it, seeing as it's squirreled away in the enginehouse by my little inglenook switching layout. Who says geeps can't switch?
