Hey Ron:
Some of those BW Steeple Cabs go back to pre WW1 and are now approaching their Centennials!

Lightning powered!

I had no idea anyone was using little electrics like that for freight. Get them together with SMS Lines Baldwins and we'd all need smelling salts.

I found this reference to modeling the Iowa Traction engine:
RE:Philosophy Friday -- The Main A-Traction ESlade4 replied on Sat, Aug 6 2011 1:33 PM Reply I like traction railroads now. Â I grew up near Mason City Iowa and regularly crossed the IATR. Â I haven't been modeling any traction but have been seriously thinking about buying at least one Model Railroad Warehouse's brass kits. Â MRRW does a kit for a B and one for a D in both HO and O if I remember right. Â And IATR has 3 B's and a C as I recall. Â MRRW designed the kit to use a Bachmann 44 tonner as a chassis. Â For the poster who asked I dont' think the do the kit in N, but you could ask. Â
If I remember right IATR is the last working traction freight rail line. Â There is a tourist rr in Wisc that does carry some freight with a electric. Â I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
I have not yet looked past this reference, into "Model Railroad Warehouse" brass kits, but it sounds expensive. The above info is from an MR forum post last year.
If anyone else has info on this in HO or ideas on how to go about a kit bash of this as a working engine, don't bushy and speak up!!!!

Curiosity got the better of me and I looked up the price of a Baldwin Steele Cab- just a measly $259.00 in brass, and as a custom order, no less, with a 50% deposit.
Nice to dream....
