I hope this is the right forum for this topic. That being said, I had a blast yesterday. I do consulting work here in Southern California. One of my clients is MTA who pretty much runs all public transportation here in the area whether it be buses light rail and even our subway. That being the case, MTA encourages use of public transportation while heading down to meetings at heir corporate headquarters. That means I get to ride on trains for a good portion of the day. (Yes my life is hard). I ride the Gold line in from Pasadena, on the old Santa Fe line where the Super Chief and El Capitan ran a few decades ago. Over the historic bridge near South Pasadena, going over the 110 freeway. Along the way, I spot the roads where the old Yellow cars ran, then pulling into what was once the southern leg of Taylor Yard. My final destination es union station where both Metrolink and Amtrak stand at the ready, ready to take some lucky folks up and down the California Coast. Riding trains is great. Best part about it, I am being paid to do so. Time to bring my camera to work and share with you nice folks.
