my COTW is one of my "purist busters" a mostly....ok everything but the sides reworked Tyco plug door boxcar

the bottom is a details west frame roof and ends are from a branchline parts kit (wish I could find more)

after the detailing and paint you can see what a little work and effort can do
(I call it a purist buster because many of the guys at my old club always told me that you couldnb't do anything with a Tyco car or locomotive...I love proving them wrong )
just me Ray... and just because I have Tyco doesn't mean I am not a model railroader

I found this custom Athearn on eBay, the St Arnolds brewery is in Houston close to where I live. They have tours and beer sampling. I've been once and plan on going again.

Nice stuff fellas. Got this at a show yesterday. It's very colorful and would like to see them running in a train.

My COTW is a last-years acquisition, not sure where this Northlandz amusement park? is, but it seems to have a railroad roller coaster or feature, so thought it a neat car to acquire.

Been finding some interesting cars of late. Hope you enjoy this one.

Jerry, Northlandz use to be the world largest model railroad. Its in Flemington New Jersey. I went once a long time ago and bought that same exact boxcar. Now I want the N scale they had.

| EagleRock, I like that Athearn St. Arnold's car. I'll have to keep an eye out for one. I'm in Texas also--I saw that same artwork on a mug in a local tavern--I liked it, and for some reason that mug ended up in my cabinet! Yes, I feel a bit guilty, but blame the beer...
