Hey GUys:

I'm sure many of you know of or have one of the AHM/RRosi 0-8-0 Alco U-4a Switchers. What I was curious about was have any of you seen the variation (late production) which had a "Booster" truck on the front of the Tender?

Second from top.

They go for a good bit when they show up on eBay. The O scale kit and RTR version always had the Franklin booster included.

I bought the Precision Scale brass booster kit from my LHS for mine.

I don't know why the covered up the booster truck on that builder's photo, but here's what it looked like.

And some photos I saved from an auction. They never repowered these with Japanese can motors. The vertically mounted round 3 pole motor was used until the end of production.

Yep, it's HO. It was NOS at the LHS, and I paid nearly $20 for it. I think they're pretty rare, because one I saw on eBay went for a lot more than that.
