Looks like everything on the forum is getting off to a slow start this week so I guess I'll do the honors and post something. My post this week is an Athearn RTR, Chessie System SD-50 which is an absolutely beautiful locomotive (I can't belive nobody has posted one of these yet) which makes me just want to go run some coal trains if I had a layout...LOL..You'll have to excuse me once again for the quality of the photo because I had to take it from my iPhone because my digital camera finally died. Anyways, enjoy, and lets get some stuff going here guys and gal's!

My 2 smallest tender engine! Got it for $15 while in VA at a hobby shop. Had a smoke box door for it. Not a bad price.

| Yes, I'm not really a CN fan, or NP for that matter, so the livery may change at some point. For now, it will be a 'second hand' loco brought in to work on my railroad. I'm well pleased with it though--I'm up to a whopping 2 brass loco collection!

Here's another loco I've recently finished refurbishing--Penn Line Consolidation. I stripped, painted, and decalled the tender. The loco just needed some touch up, and I sprayed both with a matte clear to make the black paints look the same. It came with a wooden plinth with metal nameplate which is a nice touch. Crew was added also.

Ben, that's an AHM/Kader (Bachmann) F3, although they put it on their longer F7/9 chassis.
Here's something I'm quite proud of. It's a Rivarossi Milwaukee F-7 4-6-4 Hiawatha that I picked up secondhand at the LHS, but in mint unrun condition. He was asking $110, but because they couldn't get it to run well he gave it to me for $75, which is a steal. The only problem turned out to be swollen traction tires, so some clear Goody hair bands and straightening a slightly bent cab handrail later, here she is.

It's from a 90's production run with a Japanese can motor.

Ben, it's a little sad, really. The owner of my LHS has people selling whole collections at a loss just because they need the money due to the economy. I've been checking in often because I've gotten some great deals like this, but I feel bad for the poor guys in such dire straits. At least I can give a few of their items a good home.

Here is my LOTW:
Just purchased tonight! It is an almost all brass Mantua pre-WWII 4-6-2 Pacific! It is not complete, but I can rob parts from one of my Atlantics to finish it!

Maybe, someday when i do not have anything else on my list of things to do!

Fresh back from the Timonium bargain fields I come, bearing photographs of my catches. Overall a good day, I ran trains with my club members on the modular layout, and did bountiful shopping. Here's a classic, a Mantua camelback. Needs some work, $20 I paid for it.

Overall a great day, I found some nice pieces, some projects, and some unusual stuff - all good for me! Will share later.

Nice stuff guys... Hey Ben, I've got a use for those wipers on that Conrail unit if it's a junker...
Mine is my Mantua and Athearn Pacifics sharing the spotlight. I know I've posted them before but somehow I've wound up with quite a collection of 4-6-2s of all kinds...

* Choice for the week is the Athearn GP7. It is painted in Tuscan Red as Pennsy had done with this numbered locomotive. Frank
