The espee unit is an Athearn GP-35: the slot in the fuel tank gives it away.
The 'waukee is probably an AHM C-424. I know they made that roadname and the shell looks to have the tradmark incorrect fan on the roof. Also don't think (am not certain) the Atlas model was made in Austria.

Well this is just the frame of the engine but the boiler is in the big shop to the right and the rest of her is in pieces, I found out the the main wheel that has the drive gear attached to it was in horrible shape. Just another setback on the restoration of my dads old mantua shifter, im looking at finding all her parts like a new tender frame and wheel assembly on ebay soon so wish me luck, repainted the frame last year

love that engine but yuck i hate!! that healight postioning!! when i finish mine i will use the style with the headlamp on top of the boiler, if i find one, this engine my dad gave me in 2007 WAS in derelict shape, paint chips, worn parts, ive slowly rebuilt mine with a newer mantua motor, freshly painted frame, tender shell, gear plate cover and the boiler, i gave her a new tyco cab from an old cmentine engine i have, since my 0-4-0 didnt have a cab. i love the valve gear!! and your engine looks great

Send me a list of what you need. I have dozens of these locomotives and I am sure I have every part you might need.

My Locomotive Of The Week is a pair of Athearn F7P's (It's a shortened FP... An Athearn short-cut to make it a passenger locomotive by adding vents and stacks for a steam generator on the tail end of an actual F7.)
#6501 is a single headlight while #6500 is a twin headlight unit.

I have these two F's wired together to run as a single unit. This creates a 16 wheel pick-up as opposed to two eight-wheel pick-ups. I made a "permanent" drawbar...

It's a very simple modification... top motor-polarity-mount of one locomotive wired to the screw/chassis of the other locomotive... same done to the other locomotive.
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Bowser DS 4-4-1000

Even though it was a new engine, I consider this one a rescue. Many moons ago during one of bowser's production cycles for this engine. A local online hobby shop contacted Bowser to make a special run of Baldwins in the Bessemer & Lake Erie road name. B&LE only had one of these units for a short time before it moved onto a USS steel plant for the remainder of its life. A unusual move for the bessemer and even more unusual to have one as a model. Out of the special run Bowser did, this one landed at a local storefront hobby shop where it sat in a display case FOR TWO YEARS. I watched it every time I went in there. I felt bad it was just sitting in there but I just wasn't interested enough. Low and behold after xmas came they dropped the price. I said screw it and brought it home. LOTS of detail had to be added on. But otherwise a very good & unique engine.

My "Flyer" of the week! Why a "flyer" cause it's a silly impulse spend But hey $11.00!
Hey Chris: Nice Baldwin always good to see and,
John; did you fill in the lower headlight on tyhe Athearn F7? It's a miscarriage though I like them. Steam gen, overhang, dual HL's. Not Canadian and yeah "Varnish" paint on a freight Loco!

It will become since it has a broken step something very weird!!! Mewahhhhaaaaaa. That sinister laugh inspired by a strange kentucky Decal freak producer!!!

Thanks Gareth! Word of the wise to anyone if you pick one to these up have a pinvise with lots of bits handy. It'll make installing all the handrails a little easier (less the new ones have them pre-installed I don't know).
Gareth I have one of those 0-4-0's, heck I thought I was the only one who had one haha. I picked it up off a forum member on here. Eventually it will get relettered for my personal railroad since the lettering on mine is wearing off. It actually runs decent I rather like it. MUCH better than my Playart 0-4-0. That thing is getting cut up into something new lol.

Gareth,
I almost bid on that. I use it is a parts locomotive to fix these:
A DA/R

ABL A-R:

They share the same motor and drivers. The drivers often crack on these old Rivarossi diesel imports, so as a parts engine, the less popular steamers are well worth the money. The A DA/R typically sells for ~$75 - $114 and the ABL A-R can sell as high as $200 or more if in good shape. Currently I do not have any to fix and I have some 2-3 already of your steamer for parts, so I did not need the parts.

Nah. I think, however, the CNR maple leaf emblem is missing from beneath the headlight(s). Gonna see if I can locate some decals for it... or, I will keep it as it is.
John p.s. Has anyone else used my cheap method to M.U. their locomotives?

You got a good deal there, Gareth. It has the headlight, bell, and doesn't appear to have any cracks in the shell or chassis, which are very common. I have two of them, and they're not in great shape. Definitely one of RR's more fanciful early releases.
Chris, they do run well because of that big ball bearing motor. The lettering on these does come off easily for some reason.
Ben,

(No offense, Ben... I'm just Conrail-phobic.)
