Mike - i have more Johnny Lightning - all mint in packages - thinking of removing most of them to put into display cases as the cards take up a lot of space. I know there is an ongoing debate of whether to leave in packages on dies cast cars for value - but i have seen loose ones go higher that are mint than mint in package. It will take me a while before i can shoot another video as i have 3 -30 gallon totes full of Johnny Lightning and one more with mint on package Matchbox from the 80's along with a few 70's and early 90's and a few newere releases - all in storage right now

Wow! sounds like you have lots of cars in storage. I have a few JL cars. As far as opening cars still in the package goes, The debate will rage forever, LOL! For me, If the car is from the late 80's or older, I will leave it on the card. I just found a MB #9 Escort Superfast from about 1980 still on the card. I just collect things I like. I even love the beat up old cars you find at flea markets and garage sales.
I can't wait to see your 70's and 80's Matchbox video.

The Johnny Lightning Brand was in flux for years then in the mid nineties it was bought and restarted as it's own brand. Met the man who started it at a trade show Eventually it was sold to another company
