The other day I posted in the trading post forum about seeing a copy of Jeff Wilson's Detailing Diesel Locomotives for over $40.00 on line and asked if anyone had an old copy.
WWWelllll ! (as Jack Benny used to say- if you are asking who's that, look him up on YOuTube )
I went back to searching for a cheap copy and found a site where I was able to download the entire book as a PDF file free! Each page is clear and complete. That site is called Avax. I used the Depositfiles.com site to download it, listed there to choose from.
Then I got greedy, so I also found a copy of John Pryke's Steam Locomotives and Project Ideas on a similar site called FreeBookSpot, and used the same Depositfiles download site, as well.
Same result!!!!!
Together, both of these ordered as new copies would be $40.00 plus shipping, so I feel like I got a winning lotto ticket ( well, a small one ) today.
The heck of it is that I already ordered Jeff Wilson's Detailing Freight Cars thru Amazon as a physical book, but with these two additional titles, the small co$t is now marginal.
