Could someone who knows their way around the subject loco help me with some DC/DCC Ready identification queries please?
Is a yellow box/ cellophane front 326-14 Unitah a pure DC model?
Is a Red Box 2-6-6-2T a DCC ready model?
Thanks TE

Depends on the motor TE. If its the newer can style one, no issues. Older open frame/Pitman motor, slight chance. I'm not sure.I'd say order a new one from Mantua Classics/Model Power and it has the standard 8-Pin plug already wired in!

the newer red box versions are DCC Ready, i have a rare Cherry valley logging co 2-6-6-2 #25, and its one of the first 2-6-6-2s with a tender, but i have DC not DCC but i dont see anything with the older motor that can make it DCC ready.
