Hi ALL! I'm trying to figure out if these were "Loads" for a float car for Tyco ? The picture makes them seem bigger than they are . I seem to think these Seimans Ediswan Coils loads? Anybody remember ? Many thanks, Ted

Hi, Ted. I've never seen them before but my knowledge on Tyco is not great. May have been from the earlier era... ??

| I have never seen them in the Tyco line up. But I am not to up to speed on the red and blue box stuff. If they are Tyco they are for sure old stuff. Personally I think they have to much detail for a Tyco, but if it is from the Mantua era it is a possibility for sure.

Is this from a parts box lot that had been on [redacted auction site] several times in the past few months? There were a couple parts in there I could have used but not for the total price... yet I recognize these "loads" from that listing.
I can assure you they are not Tyco items, though they do make for an interesting and plausible-appearing load.
The "British Manufacture" statement is key (Tyco never produced items there), and some Googling reveals Siemens-Ediswan to be a British electrical concern, making light bulbs and other components and such. Not sure what exactly that thing is supposed to be, though. Looks kind of like a light bulb socket.
[EDIT] well Ken replied as I was typing my own.... AHhhh it makes more sense now :) I thought it was maybe some spare junk that someone repurposed as a load
