How do you replace the coupler on the rear of an F9/Mantua engine? Looks like some kind of pin is holding it on - but not sure. The coupler has lost its "spring" so the engine disconnects quite easily from the rest of the train - not good! The pin looks like it is pressed in place at both ends. Any ideas? Thanks for your help in advance.

Lightly pry up on the cover carefully, replace the coupler with a talgo style hornhook or which ever coupler you likes. Then, center the cover up and squeeze down on it with a plier.
