I've seen them, like the similar Tyco unit referred to as "American OO" they scale out at 1/76th apparently.

"In reality", the electric motor inside plus weight probably dictated the (over)size of the switcher, going to a smaller motor probably was uneconomical production-wise, so they just made a bigger cab to house it. It's a tight fit in there as it is. I still like them, though.

Jerry's right. These DDT's and the MDT's were built around the large 5 pole motor Mehano used in the C-Liner and BL2 in the 60's... I don't think they had anything smaller at the time.

Kenny ; if you put it along side the Revell Omaha 0-6-0t and the Gilbert Hudson they will look the same scale. frank

| I have one and am glad that it is a little over-sized. Allows for more weight to be added. Without the weight it cannot pull up my grade.
