Just wondering - I have one circular track (Bachman EZ track) with connectors and the original Tyco track and connectors that came with the original Tyco train set - can I run 2 trains (passenger and a freight) off the one transformer? I don't have much room (4ft x 4ft) and if I can come up with an "elevated" train, I'd like to do it. Problem tho - I only have one transformer. I won't run the trains very long at any one time (maybe 15-30 minutes). What do you think?

Yes, but they will go the same direction(unless you flip the contectors) And Speed.

That's not a problem. I just didn't want to burn up the transformer and I really didn't want my dear sweet hubby to go ballistic when I suggested that I might try that this year! HeHeHe.....

Depends on the brand, gearing, age, etc. They won't go as fast, but, if the transformer is reasonably high volt/amp output, it'd be alright.

If it's an old Tyco power pack it will work but not that great. It will work, but I really wouldn't do it with a small transformer just for fear of overheating the thing. Besides, those things are a dime a dozen. Your best bet is to look around for a cheap used Tyco, Life-Like, or Bachmann transformer, or even an old MRC copper one. All those go for cheap.

But on the other hand, if that's all you've got and it works, just keep an eye on it and go for it.
