Got this lot at the Louisville NMRA Div. 8 show yesterday. Seller had it marked $10 but gave it to me for $5 after I picked up a couple other items.

Anyway, it's a bunch of vintage early-50's stuff in need of TLC, but with a couple outright scores even for $5.

The wooden stock car is Amrbroid, while the other stock car is 100% diecast and I am thinking Roundhouse...?

Not sure on the boxcars. They are of similar build using wood floors with metal sides and roof, but with small detail variances. The CNR car has brass sides with wood chassis - since it was poorly repainted I will probably strip it and repaint it. The GN car is the same construction, but aluminum.

The Santa Fe and NP cars are the same. They remind me of early athearn but I could be wrong.

The Santa Fe has wonderful sprung trucks which look too old for the model, while the trucks on the GN car appear to be Roundhouse, based on other parts and paperwork in the lot.

There was a handful of other parts in the lot, like sealed Rounhouse composite boxcar sides, a bunch of couplers, some cast boxcar ends and other bits. Not bad. Hoping to get at least a couple of these cleaned up for use and to maybe resell the rest.

Those look like old Red Ball or whats the other comapny there ummmmmm I have a few like that but different road names! Wooden floors, and brass ends with either brass car sides OR tin to be held together by interior bracing made from stamped tin. And the roof walks should be a "press fit" type deal.
