Thought I would share with you guys the model of our office that I built for our Holiday Gift Guide cover. I think it turned out pretty good. Far from perfect, out of square, not to scale, but not bad....

Nicely done. It really captures the look of the building. The folks in front really bring life to it too.

Nice job... I remember when you were working on that earlier in the year.
You have the coolest looking office building, ever. What is it like to work inside a Pola kit?

Glad you guys like it! When I finish it (the back and side you can't see aren't done), it will go in our office.
The office is on Haddon Avenue in Collingswood, NJ, about a mile or so down the road from Camden. Not too far from Sattler's Hobby Shop if anyone knows of them. Our newspaper business has been in the building since it was built back in 1911. I discovered a bunch of cool old items in the basement used to make the paper back in the day, and have hunted down lots of old photos and memorabilia from the town, and now have them displayed in the front window. Lots of people stop and look all day long. There are a few old Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore line photos from the old rail line that ran behind the building. We also have a black office cat, "Friday," who is in the upstairs window of the model!
The parking meter is gone now! The town now has parking kiosks! And the lamp post was $20 and I didn't want to spend too much more or my boss would probably have a fit! Thought about it, though!
Now that this is over, I can get to work on my Christmas platform!

I think the office looks more like a model than the model.
Are there any remnants left of the Seashore line?

Nothing left but photos. The whole Reading Seashore Line was torn up and replaced with an elevated high speed rail line to Philadelphia in 1967; "The PATCO Speedline." The Collingswood station used to be out our back door. There also used to be a trolley line down Haddon Avenue in front of the building. I'm planning on drawing a picture of the trolley passing the building someday.
