So I bid on this, just because I thought it was a good deal and won. I think the chassis is Athearn or Lionel Hustler and worth the price of the auction alone. I'm guessing early 60's Varney. http://www.ebay.com/itm/320784720555?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

It's a Athearn made for Lionel "Husky" chassis, and I think a Tyco 0-4-0 and some MOW pieces.
Hell for the price no prob. If you can't come up with a use for the Husky chassis I can use it and would trade....
Let me know when you get it.

Good finds, a Mantua 0-4-0, a Mantua flatcar, the flat car portion of a boom tender missing its cabin, the floor of a boxcar, the aforementioned Hustler mech---I like the track cleaner, that's a new one for me...
Nice lot for a fair price...

Hello Jeremy,
I was the one that bid against you. The 0-4-0 is a Mantua Booster. The track cleaning car is Gilbert American Flyer ($8-$14+). The gray flat car might be a lionel work caboose missing the cab ($0.5-$1). Otherwise it is Athearn. The two loose trucks look like mantua to me($1-$2). The diesel chassis is a Lionel Husky ($8-$16+). The C&O gondola looks like Mantua. ($1-$3) The boxcar chassis / deck looks like an early Athearn. The ATSF flat cat looks like a diecast Mantua ($4-$6).
Replace the trucks on the Track cleaning car and it is worth what you paid for the entire lot. The Husky chassis is worth that, if it runs too. The booster needs to be cleaned but is a great piece of a project like this one:

I spent one evening after work on this one and sold it for $50. I had one just like it sell ~2 years ago for $110.
I think it was a good deal too. I did not bid higher because i am tapped out this week. Good score man!

The loco resembles these 2 Marx locos I got
This loco came in a original Marx box Of which I'm still missing a few cars for it
This one I'm missing one part that holds the driving rods in

Sean:
Considering what you spend on MRR stuff on ebay, I'm considering giving your address to the "Occupy" people!
I think in the future I'll just email you to see what you're bidding on so I don't go broke! :(

Well the lot came in, horribly packaged and all broken. The flat is an all metal Penn Line. Thanks for the help guys.

Hey Guys:
I just sent parcels off to two of our guys on the forum, and I bet they can tell you I Uber-Pack! Always assume malice on the shippers part.
I've had exactly two shipments get Boogered and I'm determined not to let it happen to something I ship.
Btw, I just recieved a box from our English Ken and there wasn't a mark on the box and it came via DHL. That's rare.

These were wrapped in plastic bags like you buy fruit in at the grocery store and that it no more packaging what so ever. As heavy as they were, I'm surprised they not totally crushed. I have tried to glue what I could back together.

yes DHL in N.A. is rare But I heard they want to re-establish a base here again I still have DHL trucks too Also the reason DHL pulled out was too much competion from UPS, Federal Express & the Post Office

Wow...what a wreck...
When you pull it together as best you can, PM me and we'll talk about trucks as I have quite a stash of old school ones to possibly draw from.

That DHL (Credit to ken) shipment was the first unmarked box of that size certainly I've had in a while.
