Well it's Train show season again in Connecticut. The Tyco engine is mint, never run. Got it for $30.00. One vendor had a table full of vintage Athearn and lots of boxes of the Mantua. The B&O engine was $10.00 and the cars where $5.00 each.

Good price on that Mike, especially NIB. I usually see them for something ridiculous like $60, and they just sit. There's one guy I'm thinking of who drags the same high priced Mantua steamers to the same show for years and never sells them.

Hey Nelson:
It's the same here. Some of the prices are silly. They see a Genesis Steamer selling for $150 and figure well this is a 2-8-2 also. Or it's even more cynical than that!

I don't know how some of those dealers make table dragging the same old tired, over-priced crap from show to show. The dealer I was talking about at least keeps his stuff in good condition, and he probably makes money on all of the used freight cars he sells, but the engines don't move much.

I see that everywhere, from antique auto fleas to antique shows. I think it's a social thing more than about making money to some people. But I agree, how many times do you want to drag it around and never sell something? I'd get tired of it. But I guess some don't, they just set up, go shop themselves, and watch people. Guess they don't need the money.

The N Scale Is The Last To Go In The Door Prizes. And Their Every Hour Too! I Nearly Got It Once. My Sister Would Have One. I had My Eye On A MTL Hopper. Whoo, Was She Snazzy! Well, The Lionel Never Sells. Ive Seen 4 Postwar Steamers And They havent Sold For 3 Years! Class J Is In The Mix, Might Try To Buy Next Time.
