How do they paint items for model railroading like locos and rolling stock? They look so perfect. Do they have people that do them with air brushes or is it more of an automated process? Any Links for vidoes of this?

Marklin Does It By Spinning It On A Spindle While Spraying. Then It Is Touched up.

Thanks for the links. It takes quite a bit of practice to get enough skill to paint with that kind of consistency, it's amazing.

Kadee's quality control is such that, if there are any misprints out there, they become quite valuable collector's items....

I'll bet the number of mistakes is extremely small compared to the numbers produced.
You have to appreciate their craft. That's why so muuch is RTR cause not everyone can do that.

Athearns Quality Control Is So Junkish, That A Good Running Engine With No Cosmetic Issues Or Runing Issues Is Rarer Than A Kadee Misprint!
