What is the best way to achieve automatic uncoupling with HO scale?

Back in the 70s, my Tyco layout had automatic uncoupling. My trains would be rolling along and then just automaticly uncouple! Then half the train would go around a smash into the caboose on the other half!
So I always thought that "automatic uncoupling" was a built in feature of Tyco trains...
