i purchased a dcc ready spectrum vanderbilt tender, shown below for a spectrum dcc ready loco, thinking as one would, that any tender would fit any loco made in same year, but good old business logic the 2 connecters from loco are opposite way round on this tender, which in this case should not be a problem,my concern is are the tenders compatible with any dcc ready spectrum loco as it does not say yes or no anywhere?,ken

i have noticed with these that even though the vandy was made as both a dc tender and a dcc ready one the wheel arrangement on the tenders are different.the early dc ones have insulated wheels on one side as per the norm but the dcc ready ones go front left to rear right as the ones on american flyer did, weird but thats how the instructions show them ken

Hi Ken !
I think this tender is compatible to all bachmann dcc locos! I have a 4-8-4 and a 4-8-2 of them and they have two connectors. One smal, one big! - Erich
