Hey Guys:

Anybody know who had engines painted Orange with large black lettering? Saw a model a recent one, Atlas? Athearn?

I think it's now a Canadian subsidiary but it operates in the US.

Thanks,
Gareth

The only scheme like that I've ever seen was Amtrak's MOW equipment in the late 70's and early 80's. They had GP7's or 9's painted in their pumpkin scheme, and AHM had their GP18 painted to match.

One o' these first came to mind:

But your reply to Nelson has to mean this, except for the lack of black lettering:

The Elgin, Joliet & Eastern's flag fell to a controversial takeover by CN in... 2007 or thereabouts IIRC.

Tony:

Sleep computing again!

It's the DT&I OR the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern...

I can't tell from looking. i think both are part of CN now.

I remember seeing bright orange with Black letters HO Scale units on display at the LTS. They wouldn't have been there without a Canadian connection....

I think it maybe EJ&E. GTW ran over DT&I's lines after CN had bought them out along with Central Vermont. They also own Illinois Central too!
