I have to laugh....

when I saw wide cab conversion and Athearn I was thinking of the early GP models and such that were made too wide of scale to allow for the engines of the day, kinda like "OO" scaling!

Never occured to me you were talking "Canadian" or what some called wide cabs!

Yeah, "comfort" thats a latter appelation. It's the American term, but they were used here first.

It has been called many names over the years:

Canadian cab, wide cab, comfort cab, and the worst name... North American cab. Ashamed as I am to admit it, we Yanks just don't seem to like to admit that our friends of the Great White North had a great idea. You would think we could accept it every now and then.
