Did Tyco box cars typically have sliding doors, or was that limited to a few models? Thanks

Tony C., not to undermine your expertise, but wouldn't you consider the Burlington and US Mail cars to be in this category, even though they were action cars?

Yes, the Burlington and U.S. Mail cars have working doors. I had lumped them in with the 40' Box Cars, but it is a different mold due to the roof hatch...so it is similar but a different car too. Thanks Steel Hauler...

Ahhh...technically, NO...they're not "working" doors, but in fact are "permanently open" doors.

And the guy inside each of those boxcars slings crates like he did 3 lines of coke. In fact, come to think of it...so does the milkman in the Lionel HO Milk Car.

Must be the stress of the job. Sigh. Buncha Cokeheads, the lot of 'em![V]

Yes ThOR is correct that the doors on the TYCO Action Box Cars are permanently in place, they are however separate pieces and not cast on the car.

My guys also work a bit feverishly...I haven't drug tested them as it appears ThOR may have done to his 1/87th crew.

If your TYCO boys have a drug problem, they probably did get hooked from those Lionel punks. [:D]
