What brand of metal wheel sets will work in a Tyco talgo truck? I wanna upgrade the whole fleet to metal wheel sets.

Im Not Sure, But Bachmann Must Work!
If Tyco Plastic Wheels Fit Into Bachmann Plastic Wheeled Trucks, Than Metal Must Be THe Same Size.

I upgraded some of my Tyco and Bachmann cars last week with InterMountain 33" metal wheels, IRC 40052 was what is on the package. Metal, non-magnetic, blackened. 12 sets for $10 was the price. http://www.intermountain-railway.com/ho/hoacc.htm is the website and wheelset location. STill showing as $10 per 12 wheelsets. 2 per truck, so you can do 3 cars with it normally.

Yes, they fit far better than the original plastics, which tended to fall out, I think a tad short. The metal ones required me to stretch the side pieces a tiny bit more to install, but they REALLY rolled smooth after that, a welcome upgrade.

something else I like to do tho enhance the performance of the cars is to use a truck reaming tool
http://www.micromark.com/HO-Truck-Tuner,8241.html
I'd use that before you insert your wheels
just me Ray... and just because I have Tyco doesn't mean I am not a model railroader

I install 33" Intermountain wheel sets after using a Truck-Tuner. A caveat: If one keeps the couplers truck-mounted, reaming out the journals on the coupler side is very difficult, if not impossible with a Truck-Tuner. Using a cordless drill with a 5/64(?) inch drill is one way to improve the journals. I remove the couplers and body-mount Kadee #5's when possible.
