Hello all, I'm on my tablet right now, so no pic yet, but I just picked up a tender marked 'made by tyco in Hong Kong.' It looks like the type that goes behind a mantua logger, but it has couplers on both ends, no drawbar, and all plastic wheels. It's lettered for the Santa fe. It seems it could have only come with a loco that picks up both rail currents, or it was made as an auxiliary tender. Any ideas? I'll send a pic soon. Chris

Hey Adams! Welcome back. That tender goes to Tyco's 0-6-0. Not Mantua. The 0-6-0 used a coupler to connect to the engine. The 0-6-0 is a powertorque engine.

Ah, thanks. That's a later product that I've never owned. I may run mine behind a tyco tank loco as an auxiliary.

hi chris i have a tender with couplings either end,and it goes with the hong kong made tyco 0-6-0,which is a real piece of rubbish,a real turn in the wrong direction by tyco, one of the reasons i go mainly for red box or mantua made steamers, ken tender
chassis, check those side rods out, connected to only one set of wheels, but all 6 wheels have holes for screws,4 of which never used

Yes, Ken, That's the tender. Nice pics of the loco mechanism--I've never seen or owned one before. Chris

I've been told they're the worst Tyco engine ever made besides the crappy ol' brownbox era MU2's is Tyco's powertorque'd 0-6-0.
