Something was weird with this purchase. After I bought the locomotive the remaining four were no longer offered. Now my engine has been lost in the post. The salesman offered me two others with broken wheels as a replacement! strange! - Erich

Don´t worry Ken! I have canceled the purchase!

Almost normal that the rubber wheels are defective after such a long time!
But they are still beautiful! - Erich

how hard would it be to replace disentigrating rubber with steel wheels? I'd think someone would of thought of that or use plastic wheels Or better yet have someone who is good at wood carving make wood wheels

Ken, I forgot about those. You might be able to replace the wheels with Athearn dummy wheelsets. Does the motor run?

Aside from the rotted wheels, it looks mint.
