Did Tyco ever make a Pickle factory? If they did is it still being produced under another manufacturer's name. I am currently looking for one (unbuilt) and seeing what options are out there.

Thanks. Tonight I have found that Tyco, Polo, IHC, AHM and currently Model Power all have made the same kit. Looks like that is the one I want too. Hopefully my LHS has it.

TK:

That would be surprising, it's a pretty old kit!

Hope you find one, One of the books I got from Hypo... has a chapter on building kitbashing and I think the Pickle Factory was the base for them....

My understanding of this and other kits released by different model train companies that are the same, is that the kit are of Pola design and manufacturing. Shiped to all the mentioned companies. There boxed, and sold with the other companies brand name on them. Many companies sell there product with a licence agreement to another for sale under there name.

Frank's right, I think all of the building kits sold by Tyco, AHM, Atlas, etc. were made by Pola, so technically no, Tyco never made one. Funny how everyone and his brother was importing Pola kits to the U.S.
