Tony L. aka GIC didn't you score a Red Box example of the TYCO Great Northern F-9A recently? If so, did you happen to snap any pics for me of it?
Thanks...[^]

| MIne is actually a late-70's Mantua release... but it is the EXACT SAME mold and decoration as used earlier by Tyco. I think I posted about it soon after Thanksgiving. I'll see if I can dig that up later...

I've got a GN F-9A unit which reads "Mantua Tyco" on the fuel tanks. It has the open-motor type power truck.
[?]How old is this thing?
It runs like a bat outta yell with a blaring headlight!
It's very clean... lacking the original box it came out of.

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Believe the TYCO Red Box example of the Great Northern Big Sky Blue F-9A is late '60s/early '70s. The F-7A Deluxe TYCO Brown Box Era example is mid/late '70s.
