as you can see the tenshodo is 8 wheel driven via gearbox,the flexible coupler is very long(30mm) as can be seen,the distance between the end of motor shaft and gearbox shaft tip is approx 15mm,has anyone used the nwsl universal coupling kit or other ken

It looks a lot like the Hobbytown tank drive. Is there a problem with the existing universals? Not sure which NWSL universal set you're talking about, but Micro mark has the old Hobbytown style sliding ball universal set available that would be perfect for this.

the shafts are ok its the bit between top of gearbox and the motor thats giving me problems as the flexible mounting is to big ken

Hi Ken,
I realized after I posted that you were talking about connecting the motor & gearbox. NWSL has large universals with an adjustable plastic dogbone you put together and cut to size. Set 490-6 will fit 2.4mm shafts.

If you have any Blue Box shaft parts lying around, you might be able to put something together from those.
