I wonder if that could be done as easily today with unibody construction. They'd have to reinforce the frame somehow.

I believe they made 3 of these cars back then, and 2 still exist. The other was destroyed somehow. Very neat cars for the time, first time I've seen a modern photo of this car. Doesn't even appear to have yellowed with age, either!
