I have a Mantua/Tyco older model 4-4-0 I'd wanna repaint due to the fact that it has a very poor custom paint job. I also have a ol' Mantua canned motor from thier newer 0-6-0T I wanna use. Is the shaft big/small enough fer the hex adapter? Also, what parts of the boiler are removable?Don't wanna damage my bell or domes!Had the idea of painitng gloss black with gold accents.

You can run jumpers for the DCC plug, that way it retains its resale value. Just bend a bit of small, stiff wire and jump the top two together, then the bottom two. Make sure they don't touch each other and you're good to go.
