I finally nabbed one...
...while not cherry, it's still in pretty good shape, a Pocher HO scale Lincoln funeral car from the 1960s...
...between this and the Shay, I'll be walking 6 inches off the ground for at least a month.

My car this week is an early kit produced by Redball. Overland Oil & Transportation Co. The Overland Oil car is a combination tank car/boxcar. The kit is Red Ball. It was made and sold by M. Dale Newton, then during the 1955-75 era by Howell Day and later as historic reruns by Wabash Valley/MRRW. The cast "fishbelly" is an underfloor tank for oil transport that predated "regular tank cars" in Pennsylvanisa based oil service. The boxcar was for use in back hauls and to insure the car would not become obsolete if oil was just a passing fad. Sorry, photo was taken using my cell phone:

Neat Purina pile on, microbusss! Shaygetz, what loco was used to haul the funeral train? I love the Pocher car, very special.
Minneapolis and St. Louis Railway quad hopper by Roco, much more like Tyco than my fancy metal ballast hoppers. Though it's a duller red in real life and most of the weight is in the coal load, I like it just the same.

| My private car was made by an online friend. The funeral is just the ultimate model railroader mancave...articulated trucks on a private car, must've been for the weight of the early steam powered flat screen TVs of the day.

Thanks for the great photo of Old Nashville, catfordken!
I have a new appreciation for these old time steamers, shaygetz. I think your Funeral Train will look magnificent. I could really do with a week in that private car so stoke up the flat screen!
